Dear Parents,

The year 2010 is an important year for educationists as we celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Shri Rabindranath Tagore, a pioneer and a visionary in education. It is a time to reflect and innovate. It is thus a privilege for me take on the reins of a school as a Principal whose ethos is inspired from the vision of Shri Rabindranath Tagore. This year is very special.

As Goldcrest High dedicates this year to Shri Rabindranath Tagore, we take it on ourselves to create a world of love for all our students.

I have had the good fortune of being in the wonderful world of students, teaching them from Kindergarten to Grade 10 and interacting with them as Head of Pre-Primary, Primary, Middle and Secondary sections of prestigious ICSE schools. Having wholeheartedly embraced the principles of Educational Technology and Instructional Design, I have used these tools to develop systems of a school and enhance instruction. My training as an IGCSE/A Level coordinator has empowered me to adopt the best practices in education.

I embark with enthusiasm, commitment and confidence on the journey of realising Goldcrest High’s vision with an excellent team of teachers and staff. Together we will continue to create an environment of laughter and learning with teachers steering the students to explore, learn and assimilate.

At Goldcrest High our inspiration is derived from Tagore who said,

“The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence.”

My team and I are committed to shaping students into caring, courageous and capable global citizens. We do this through an activity based learning approach, which stimulates children to learn by doing. Teachers engage in research to develop a theme-based curriculum infusing innovation and enjoyment at every step. Subject integration allows the students to form connections and develop a meaningful approach. A world-class infrastructure with a large playground, specialized laboratories, a well-equipped library, a computer lab and smart boards in the classrooms are planned to give our students a learning edge.

I would like to thank the Parents who have given us the honour of partnering with them in the growth and development of their child. Together, we will contribute towards the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual development of our children.

I, along with my team of dedicated faculty, intend to build on the good work that has been done last year. I assure you that our doors will always be open to the students and their parents for any comment or suggestion.
